I had no clue what to name this one. It's just a quick practice comic to get back into the swing of comic-making after Vermin, which I look at now and lowkey its SO ugly... I don't like it. But I think the story is still fine and I spent forever working on it, plus it's a gift for someone else so TRUST I will not be removing it from the site ever... It's just a little embarrassing.
This one is way shorter, only 6 pages (compared to Vermin's 22) and is largely free from dialogue. I tried out some new stuff with my process and I went ham on stamps and tone brushes because they were fun. It's also a lot more mellow: BE AWARE there is implied animal neglect/abuse, as well as implied child variations on those same themes. Obviously this is based off of Noiz from Dramatical Murder, particularly details about his home life and childhood not revealed until late main game/reconnect, so be wary of spoilers if you haven't played these yet. I think it's decently understandable without that context, but I do also think it would elevate your reading experience for all five minutes you may look at it. And finally, since this comic is so short, I'll be able to upload it to Instagram and Tumblr in full if you'd like to comment. Joy! I just like having larger pieces here on my site to add into a portfolio of sorts. You understand<3
That's it, thanks for reading!! As said before, this is getting a full upload on proper social media, but of course I'm always open to private feedback if you're so inclined thru email or something. You can leave me an anonymous ask on Tumblr if that's too scary for you also. I had fun making this and it went wayyy quicker than the last one... Also I'm very certain that wire cages are improper rabbit husbandry but like Noiz's parents couldn't even take care of their child there's no way they're giving a fuck about a rabbit lol. This is my excuse it's definitely not bc the cage is easier to draw + offers a vague sense of symbolism that I'm only realizing could be applied now... Thank you again for reading *bow*
